Animal Crossing Coloring Pages – Animal Crossing: New Horizons is a life simulation video game developed and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo Switch. The game is the fifth installment title in the Animal Crossing series and will be released on March 20, 2020.
In New Horizons, players can take on the role of a changeable character who moves to a deserted island after purchasing a package from Tom Nook, a tanuki character that appears in every title in the Animal Crossing series.
Set in real time, players can explore the island in a nonlinear manner, by collecting and crafting tools, catching insects and fish, and developing the island into one with a community of anthropomorphic animals.
A report by mobile game market research firm Sensor Tower says Animal Crossing: New Horizons has become one of the most talked about games since launching on March 20, 2020.
The game from Nintendo, which is available on the Switch handheld console, also contributes to the growth of Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp on smartphones.
“In the seven days after Animal Crossing: New Horizons was released on the Switch, Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp downloads increased by about 229 percent week-over-week, to 1.9 million,”
In addition, the report states that Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp has accumulatively achieved the highest income, surpassing USD 150 million.
IOS-based device users contributed the highest, namely 91 million USD or around 59.6 percent of that number. The rest came from Android, which contributed USD 61.6 million or approximately 40.4 percent.
“Nintendo has proven to be able to take advantage of the launch of the Animal Crossing title on the Switch to increase user spending on the mobile version. This shows how the company can successfully leverage franchising across platforms,” said Craig.
Pocket Camp Like other Animal Crossing series games, you will be asked to move to various locations, interact with NPCs (non playable characters), and build a character residence in the game.
Not much different from the console version of Animal Crossing, here you ‘manage’ a smaller scope than managing a city like in the console game.
In Pocket Camp, gamers are required to make various kinds of furniture from materials found in various areas in the game. You can also meet other gamers and exchange items.
Although free-to-play, Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp still features microtransaction features.
