Mega Charizard Also Has Variations in X and Y Species in Pokemon X & Y
Not only Mega Mewtwo has two variations of species X and Y in Pokemon X & Y, but Mega Charizard also has it. This was confirmed by The Pokémon Company. Following are official explanations regarding Mega Charizard X and Mega Charizard Y.
In Pokémon Y, Charizard who holds Charizardite Y can turn into Mega Charizard Y. this is the change of Mega Charizard that we knew before (together with Mega Venusaur and Mega Blastoise). Mega Charizard Y has sharp horns and a longer tail, giving it an elegant impression. Both of his wings became bigger so he could fly higher than before.
Mega Charizard Y has a Special Attack status that has increased sharply, with his Ability changing to Drought, which will increase all Fire type attacks. Mega Charizard Y can use the Blast Burn movement, a very powerful Fire type attack especially supported by his Ability Drought.
In Pokémon X, Charizard who holds Charizardite X can turn into Mega Charizard X. Unlike its twin appearance, this species X has a dominant black body color with a blazing blue flame around it, and the type changes from Fire / Flying to Fire / Dragon. The shape of this change also makes it look more ferocious compared to Mega Charizard Y.
Mega Charizard X has an Attack status that increases dramatically when it changes. His abilities also change to Tough Claws, which increase attack power or movements that directly contact the enemy. He can also use Dragon Tail moves, physical attacks of the Dragon type which are very strong and also force the opposing Pokémon to switch to another Pokémon. What a tough Pokémon!
